Our Story
Our journey began with a dream to create warm and inviting spaces where guests could savor delicious comfort food while feeling like part of the family. Drawing from their extensive culinary backgrounds, Adan and Meggan set out to redefine the traditional diner experience.
Adan's culinary journey started at a young age, learning the art of cooking from his mother in Mexico before honing his skills at establishments like the renowned Koffee Kup in Stoughton. Meggan's passion for food led her through culinary school and diverse kitchen experiences, all of which culminated in the realization of their shared dream.
In September 2022, Kozy Nuk opened its doors, breathing new life into the former Sonny's Cafe location in Cottage Grove. Shortly after, a second location opened its doors in Stoughton, bringing the same warmth and hospitality to a new community.
At Kozy Nuk, every dish tells a story—a story of family recipes passed down through generations, of locally sourced ingredients bursting with flavor, and of the vibrant cultural tapestry that inspires our menu. From hearty breakfast classics like our iconic Reyes Skillet featuring Adan and Joel’s homemade salsa verde , to the beloved Porky Pancakes and warm Cinnamon Rolls— a true fan favorite— each bite is crafted with care and served with a smile.
But Kozy Nuk is more than just great food; it's a place where connections are made, and memories are shared. Whether you're dining in Cottage Grove or Stoughton, you'll always be welcomed like an old friend. Our cozy ambiance, complete with wood paneling, chalkboard menus, and a friendly lunch counter, invites you to linger a little longer and savor the simple joys of good food and great company.
We look forward to meeting you!
